I've been a part of sandwich school district both as a student and a parent. I believe the school district is correct that the headbands can signify gang relation, however what the school is neglecting to realize is females can be just as much a part of a gang as males. I see no reason why anyone needs to wear headbands. If they need to keep their hair back put it in a ponytail

I feel strongly about it because I wear a patch and those and headbands are similar. Even if I get comments at Walmart.
