Here’s why you should sign this petition: On November 11 2o1o The Harford county Board of Education released a draft redistricting plan for all Harford Co. Elementary Schools. The manner in which the HCPS supervisors technical advisory committee (STAC) and BOE drafted and presented the plan is nothing less than a government agency deceiving the people it is meant to serve. Focus groups were assembled to inform the community ... they were promised information in a timely fashion but instead they were left in the dark until time was on the side of the Boe & it’s Stac . Now the March 2011 deadline is rapidly approaching and we are faced with the daunting task of drafting alternate proposals and viable solutions in short order.
