i know him personally and he's an excellent paramedic, one I would want to attend a member of my family

I have known this man since he first joined the service, there was never a shift where he never put the patient or their needs first, I know because for many years I worked along side him. You will never find a bad word said against him by those that know him. His reasons for his actions would have been justified. This is so wrong, this could have been anyone of us. This wrong needs righting.

I absolutely feel for Eddy. We are all exhausted ! Our senior management are proud to admit we are the most highly utilised service in the country if not the world. I haven't had a break in months. New Rotas forced upon us mean we are in work more often.

Ed Daly recognised he wasn't fit to continue and acted in the best interests of the "service user". For that he has been punished.

Eddie is a great Paramedic, team leader and colleague who was broken by the system. He has the respect of everyone who met and worked with him and it is a sad day when the system that broke him then goes on to destroy his career.

The HCPC should not be ruling on operational disputes between registrants and their employers, as a regulatory body it is there to rightly protect the public against poor clinicians and dangerous individuals. There is so much wrong about this entire case that needs addressing, Eddie Daly was nothing short of impeccable character and skill. His treatment over this incident simply demonstrates how the LAS refuses to accept responsibility for the mess it is now in, and yet again would rather throw an individual under the bus when they finally snap, instead of recognising they have become a wholly unreasonable employer in their expectations.

With ambulance call outs being at an all time high is it any wonder this guy felt exhausted. In my opinion he made the right decision not to continue and should be offered support not punishment.

This is a diabolical situation. It's always the most dedicated that put in the extra effort. Anyone less dedicated would not have reached 30 years service

I have the same surname as Eddie, but we're not related. I was lucky enough to get guidance and support from Eddie at work. Excellent team leader.
