Disgraceful treatment of a valuable member of staff. To let someone go with such a vast amount of experience shows how little regard there is for front line staff from some members of management.

Eddy is a lovely man and fabulous clinician who had the guts to say "enough". It would have been far worse if he attended and caused harm. The rule is "first, do no harm". That's what he did.

this hypocrisy of a care system needs to change soon and a review of Eddies treatment needs to be carried out by NHS management, LAS management, his union dealing with the matter and the HCPC.

To treat someone who has 30 years servie and knows his limitations like this is terrible . If he had made a mistake on that case would he be ok or is it damned if you do and damned if you dont ?

This is a terrible decision, poor judgement. How can we be expected to continue like this?

There is something very wrong with this story. The idea that someone should be expected to work all night for 11 hours and 25 minutes and be expected to work a further 1 to 2 hours on top of that. To accept that as normal is an obvious breach of the european working time regulations, and, by management not facilitating that, a breach of the 'management of health and safety at work act. I m sure this has not been missed by anyone a LAS but I am surprised that the health and safety exec and the unions have not had more to say about this.

You need to start listening to what NHS staff are telling you and stop burying your head in the sand. This gentleman is one of a kind and a huge loss to the profession, the bullying and target meeting is turning the NHS into a disgrace!

Knowing Eddie personally he is a great person who did not in any way deserved this. He deserved the support we all should get in this situation. He is the nicest person ever and I would never have any issues with him treating me or a member of my family. A true gentleman and professional at all times. A great loss to the profession and the service.
