Pointless targets, a triage system that is wholly flawed,an ensuing and continuing exodus of medics from the LAS is tge root cause of Ed's fatigue .. The HCPC has let every paramedic in the land down with this ruling and inevitably the service users. Ed was the consumate professional, a great leader, so gentle in stature. The HCPC should be ashamed of themselves.

Lack of staff and non clinically led dispatching leads to low levels of morale, If we no longer feel fit to practice then we have to be able to say so and not be bullied into continuing!

Yet again the trust of the work force is broken. Yet again our health and welfare is treated with contempt. A police officer can be sacked for attending work while unfit. It could even be classed as neglect, failure in the services duty of care. It's not a one off problem, it's a daily problem. So wrong!!!

An outstanding bloke who lived for the LAS and gave everything. The LAS have no staff welfare in mind anymore.

This ruling shows that the HCPC has quickly become regimented to a blame orientated organisation giving scant regard to the circumstances and causes of this individual's case.
