I worked long shifts for quite a few years and agree that the tiredness and stress must be an essential element of consideration.

Never should have been sacked!! Surely he would have been putting his patients at risk, other road users not to mention himself!! Emergency service are relentless and tiresome jobs. He was in a no win situation

totally agree. At what point do Paramedics themselves become a concern? There is a point at which a human cannot function anymore without rest, food, drink and a toilet. First rule of the most basic first aid; is it safe for you? Clearly, when you or your colleague are exhausted, it isn't safe.

Disgrace at the highest levels the UK have gone mad, paramedics and ambulance staff are pushed to the extreme on some shifts. Give him back his deserved registration.

the paramedic in question, was clearly in his right to refuse the call. It was the control team that let the patient down.

Who protects the ambulance staff? Certainly not ambulance services, foundation trusts or the HCPC.

unbelievable. Polices state you should report to management if you are too tired to work as this can be dangerous. No break after a 12 hour night and he is treated this way. Support for staff.......where is it????

outrageous verdict. I've had to do it myself after driving the wrong way down a motorway slip road whilst exhausted after eleven hours of constant work
