This is disgraceful and needs to be addressed in order to stop it happening to employees in future!

This could have been any one of us, though of course could also sing the death knell for 12 hour shifts if reinstated. But he was right to do what he did and shouldn't have been struck off for it.

Unblemished career, and this happens. Totally the wrong decision from the HCPC in my humble opinion. Scape goat for a much bigger problem.

paramedics are human too, they cannot function safely and provide appropriate care when they are beyond tired. Make no mistake here, we are not talking a little itsy bit tired, we are talking exhausted to the point of collapse. Breaks are important and whilst patient care is utmost in the minds of those who care we also have a duty of care to ensure paramedics health and wellbeing. It is incredibly short sighted to expect people to work at this pressure without looking after them. Perhaps that is the answer to recruitment and retention, after all if we can't look after the carers then there will be no one left to care!

And they are putting up the fees this year too. This is the fear for all long service front line staff on high banding slightest thing done wrong is reported to HCPC by employers, there is no in house dealing with complaints anymore its all sent to the HCPC to deal and give employers the easy get out clause to fire long service experienced staff and employ 2 brand new wet behind the ears graduates who have no life or work experience to fill his boots. this job is quickly becoming a young persons job who may have the knowledge of theory but can have the practical and human aspect of a very mental and emotional demanding career.

The dismissal is wrong and unfair, 11 hours without a break is against the Employment Laws, both UK and EU

Never go into a HCPC without at least a Barrister. The HCPC bring one to put the case across. So you should have had the same representation. I hope you fight to have the verdict overruled.
