Disgraceful! The NHS Ambulance services are being run into the ground and no-one will stand up for the staff!

My daughter is a paramedic and I know there have been times, when she is utterly exhausted. The ambulance service is there to serve the public, as a member of the public, I would not want to be attended by an extremely exhausted paramedic. HCPC have got it wrong - look at the system and the shift patterns please. Most paramedics are devoted to the service and their desire to serve the general public, do not let them down in their hour of need.

HCPC should be ashamed of themselves

I'm a paramedic and I'm disgusted in your judgement. Who were the paramedics on this board that thought this was sensible?

No win situation that any of us could have been in and still could. If we report vehicle fuel as too low we expect to be sent for more and not sent on a call. Why are vehicles and equipment more important than clinicians.

We have to protect everyone including the staff, HCPC needs to consider the fitness to practice in all situations not just in treating patients !

if the governing body doesn't understand that this gentleman was actually protecting the public by refusing to work when he was tired than how can other registrants have any faith in your ability to be the governing body?
