it is fundamentally wrong to treat a member of staff like this. if a patient was treated with such blatant disregard someone would be in court.

definitely deserves his name cleared. If he had made a mistake due to tiredness then he would have been struck off, instead he did what he should and tried to book off. What else could he have done. He should have a retrial

LAS failings put this man on the spot, he made a mistake but not a clinical one. HCPC need to sort out their priorities and their ideas

We've all been in a position where just cannot imagine doing another job when we've been hammered for the whole 12 hour shift and are going to be late off! He's just been penalised for doing what we've all wanted to do! So so wrong.

By all accounts, this paramedic has been an exemplary carer and clinician for three decades. On this one instance, after a period of shift without a break that contravenes European law, he faced a choice between attend a patient in a dangerously exhausted state or delay for another vehicle. Whatever option he picked would have been wrong and potentially disastrous. And now, perhaps predictably, he becomes a scapegoat for service shortcomings not of his design. In what possible way can this be described as fair and just treatment of an immensely experienced and highly valuable clinician? He at least deserves an apology and to reach retirement with his head held high instead of a broken, tarnished man.
