Not just the LAS but ambulance services country wide. You're losing well established clinicians and trying the stuff the hole with students isn't going to work.

I knew Eddie when I worked on the road for LAS. He was an outstanding paramedic and a great clinical team leader (as his 30 year unblemished record shows). He made a decision based on exhaustion. This should be borne in mind considering the horrific pressure our profession is under at present. I would expect some empathy and maybe some support from our governing body. The HCPC is going to see more cases like this in the future as this is breaking point for the paramedic profession. Please do the right thing and reconsider your decision. Thank you.

No other industry anywhere in the world is expected to drive at speed, save lives and not have a break in 12 hours. If staff go fatigued they are threatened with being I for for duty. They can't won't wake up government and hcpc and start accepting reality. This poor Man U have let down and all other medical staff with it. Oh and I am not medical staff just in case u think I am biased!
I left as a LAS Paramedic in 2000, due to the apathetic managemen, unrelenting call demand and broken promises from Union and directors alike. The singular as
