Idaho's House Education Committee sent a bill to the floor that would sever ties with the University of Washington's (UW) WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) program, an agreement that allocates 40 spots in UW's medical school admissions for Idaho residents. Proponents of the bill cite a frustration with WWAMI not expanding the program, yet have no concrete plan for replacing the allotment of students in a state which ranks last in the nation in physicians per capita, exacerbating the problem. This petition will be sent to house representatives to encourage them to kill this bill and preserve the relationship with UW and allow for more physicians in a state that needs them badly.

Are you kidding me? We already dont have enough doctors here. Cutting this program is just gonna make it impossible for people to get care in rural areas. Just stop the madness.
