Hazel was one of the classiest women I ever met. She was always the consummate professional, cared about others, purposeful, and was an amazing friend. Naming the Child Development Center was her vision that she made a reality and absolutely, this would be a meaningful way to commemorate her contributions to Delta College and the community it serves. We are all better off, young and old, because of Hazel's efforts.

Hazel's contributions to the creation of the Child Development Center at Delta College as well as the enormous legacy she leaves at San Joaquin Delta College and in our community make it the perfect tribute that the Child Development Center be named in her honor. Rest in peace, Hazel.

Hazel Hill's dedication to our community, her education advocacy, and constant battle for the child development center's resources demonstrate de extrordinary person she was. Naming the building is the minimum we can do to memorialize her genuine caring persona.
