A real concrete park with a kidney shaped bowl at least would be a fantastic addition to Hays.. Okmulgee Ok has a great example of what can be built in a small area, check it out! People traveling on I70 would also be more likely to stop in town.. Get with the program Hays!!! You guys can get it done!!! Spohnranch or Teampain is a great choice!
The extension of this park is a great investment for the city. It requires no maintenance, will last forever, will keep kids safe, keep them fit, and it will bring greater revenue to the city as people come and visit the park.

I grew up skating at the skate park in Hays. Honestly it is in great need of renovation.

This skate park looks like it will only accomodate a few skaters at a time. There are always skaters using it, so I'm sure a lot of the kids I see doing tricks on streets and sidewalks were crowded out. I've also noticed some dangerous spots on equipment. The potential for benefit for kids, the city, families and society in general make this an obvious YES.

This is a great idea, Skate boarding is a clean sport, heck I even still ride at the age of 60. It is a life long sport, requiring a fit body, sharp mind, and cordination. A great park will make Hays a destination spot for people of all ages, a positive for the community.
