We totally support this petition! We have lived here for 16 years, and this is the worst of all tax appraisals! We have protested our taxes to see no change.

My taxes have went up dramatically in just the past year. I have a 1 acre lot that more than doubled from 96K to 200K (next to my adjoining house/land). That's insane, market forces or not. My main home/land also went up much higher, but a bit less. We need a change (I am also close to retirement).

Just because the market is going insane should not be used as an excuse to squeeze citizens for outrageous tax increases

Afraid soon we won’t be able to pay the taxes. Retired now for 2 years and can’t generate the amount needed without taking from retirement savings.
