Can't even think about buying our first home because all aspects of home buying are through the roof...we're looking to stay here the rest of our lives, not buy a property just to rent it out on Air BNB...shouldn't what we pay match that?

Please let Austinites afford austin. At this rate I will have to sell my home and Austin will lose a registered nurse.

I don't mind paying more for more services, but we're not getting more services. Projects which were scheduled to be completed in January are still ongoing, I don't see any forethought when allowing developers to add new neighborhoods but not increasing/improving roads - for example Sledge which is so narrow it's almost a one way and Philomena where traffic backs up every single day.

it is just pure robbery. There is nothing fair about taxing someone out of their home of 40yrs. How you sleep at night baffles me.There will be a backlash that will amaze all elected folks.

I don't live in Hays Co but I do live in Travis Co. and our tax rate has sky rocketed and should be against the law. My husband and I are 77 & 78 and live on a fixed income. I agree that the everything Hays Co is requesting should be all counties.

The taxes have gone out of control. We are burdened with over a 45% increase in our taxes from last year.
There must be more accountability for the use of our tax dollars.

An increase value of $100,000 in one year is ridiculous. The tax office is punishing current home owners to pay for the infrastructure needed for new housing developments. The builders should paying for the new infrastructure required. This is sad to see this happening.
