Our value jumped by 50 percent! Taxes should be based on what the property was purchased for!

Something needs to be done. We on a fixed income will not be able to keep absorbing these increases. One would think that the increasing tax base should be able to keep pace with infrastructure demands. Of course it would require planning and fiscal restraint

We want to retire in our home we built, our neighborhood is a close community. We are working professionals that will have to move because once retired our taxes won’t be affordable. We are so sad.

My home is being taxed at 4 times the rate that I bought my home even though I have not added any additional improvements to justify this increase. Taxing me on perceived equity vs what I paid for this home in my retirement is going to force me to sell my home as I cannot afford the outrageous jump in taxes on my fixed income. I have worked all my life to be taxed out of my home on an idea that my home is worth an amount that it has Never sold for.

Those of us elderly living on a limited income, this tax increase is forcing a choice between food, medication and my home.

I am signing due to the fact the market suggests our home value has risen over $80,000.00 since we bought it 9/23/2021!

I agree with the above proposal. It is unrealistic to expect common folks who purchased within their means to keep up with the rapidly inflated tax assessments on home values.

Just because someone is willing to pay way above asking price does not mean those of us who purchased at realistic prices should see monumental increases in our taxes.
