We need to guard against becoming a "food desert"...I miss Zupan's and Safeway. Target is no way to grocery shop!

Enthusiastically support this effort. As we can expect, the up coming bridge And ramp closures will. dramatically limit our access to food for that time. Target store is simply not a sufficient substitute.

A quality grocery store on the island would not only eliminate the hassle of getting on and off the island - it would also be more accessible via walking or biking.

I miss the Safeway. I stopped there regularly when visiting several friends who live on the island.

I regularly visit the Island and used to frequent the grocery store that used to be there and it is sorely missed!

I have to drive into Vancouver to get groceries or driving to Portland to get groceries sometimes it takes up to 45 minutes just to get groceries this is crazy we need a grocery store

Those who cant drive,dont have a car or are physically disabled are at a disadvantage. Having a store on the island would be a great benifit.
