The convenience of walking or driving a short distance to a grocery store for incidentals or doing a major food shop without crossing the river or traveling south on freeways is crucial to quality of life for people living on the island.

Getting off and back on the island during the day can take hours. It limits the amount of shopping I do. If I could go to a local full service grocery store. It would greatly enhance my meals. I love to cook. Bring groceries back to Hayden island please.

Yes, we do actually need a grocery store on Hayden Island and we will support it.

Good luck, hope you can find 5,000 people. A grocery store would be great. Too big a tangle of traffic to get to Delta Park Walmart and home again.

Another source of signatures & store users would be non-resident boat owners in Hayden Island many Marinas. Before we moved to the island we’d almost always stop at Safeway to stock up on groceries and goods we’d need for cruises, races, etc.; and we’d frequently see other boaters shopping there also. It was the last stop before heading out to the boat or heading home!
