I can't believe that we accept free prescriptions and stand by and allow people who really need drugs to fall by the wayside...... I for one would happily pay for any prescription so that I could access medication for serious illnesses

Its disgusting what is happening to people and I fully Support Irfon and any one else in the same situation

Irfon is a gentleman that deserves a fighting chance- he is a man that will go on to fight for others- a true champion

I have always said that free prescriptions to all is wrong. People who really need medication and treatment to survive should have priority.

Free prescriptions is not the way - my family would rather pay a contribution than get it free and then the Welsh NHS would have funds to help big illness

I am Welsh, now living in Chester. I am starting to meet people who are having to make live changing decisions to move to England so they can be treated by the NHS. Postcode Lottery at its worst. I say scrap the free prescriptions!!

We all know resources are scarce, or at least we're told they are, but as someone below has said, lots of us that can afford to pay for prescriptions happily accept free medicine for relatively minor complaints. The resources should go to those whose need is greatest. Irfon needs a treatment that's available. It makes no sense that he can't get it in his own country.

No-one should be allowed to make the choice that people in Wales are any less deserving of treatment for cancer. We should have equal rights. What makes England so different?

equality for all in the UK. it shouldn't be a postcode lottery.
