The State of Hawaii and the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) have imposed unreasonable restrictions upon the Hawaii wedding industry, making it difficult to arrange weddings on beaches. Included in their restrictions are: no "props", such as cake tables, chairs and arch-ways, etc.. If you agree that the State of Hawaii is acting irresponsibly by imposing these restrictions, please sign this petition which we will present to the Governor, DLNR and State Legislature.
The restrictions placed on beach ceremonies continue to displace many couples seeking a simple celebration. I am currently compiling the feedback provided by affected vendors to present as a formal report to the relevant authorities.

We got married on the beach and it was simple but these new rules are just power tripping. Leave the couples alone DLNR.

Ridiculous. Let people get married how they want. It is a beach not a museum.
