The Arboretum....how crazy! This is a serene, back to nature place. Someone, years ago, was smart enough to put this land aside for the Arboretum, not for a dump. I hope that there is now someone smart enough, not to spoil this!!!

The proposed site is terrible! This needs to be located miles from any residential developments / neighborhoods that currently exist or are likely to exist a decade or two from now.

This makes zero sense. Why should everyone from Carver County drive into a residential area to dump compost, just because it is convenient for the arboretum? That is a lot of traffic for an area that can't take much more.

This belongs in an industra location, not in a residential neighborhood. The Arboretum needs to be a better neighbor!

It is absolutely absurd to put this dump in a residential neighborhood. It is also unprecedented, as no other dump in a residential neighborhood can be found in the state of MN. And on a gravel road that already sees 10x the traffic it was designed for. The arrogance of the county and the arboretum is off the charts!

Bottom line, this is the county/town/Arboretum putting money and convenience above what is best for local residents. Many of the residents who will be effected by this site are long time residents and have supported this community for over a decade. I understand that with the growing population the county needs to grow in services as well, but put a site like this along industrial/commercial routes rather than residential roads. The Arboretum is such a gem of our community. It is a shame it doesn’t feel as though the Arboretum might not share the same respect for its neighbors as many neighbors feel for it.

Along with the traffic this road already gets, people feel free to litter (I once filled two target bags full of empty Miller Lite cans on less than a 1/4 mile stretch of 82nd Street), so maybe the city already sees this as a dumping ground. We need less waste and traffic here, not more.

Composts stinks! You shut down 82nd during 5 construction because it could t handle the additional 500 cars per day but 8000 is cool. Garbage in. Garbage stays. Since it’s all going to be trucked out I’d suggest the expansive space of the CHANHASSEN city offices parking lot by the fields or down in Chaska at the courthouse. Peace.
