I support the fact that it represents southern pride! But we have to look into deep history here. It means heritage and pride to people, but it isn’t like that heritage consists of happy clouds and rainbows. In my opinion, I don’t think that apple put the confederate flag emoji, because from what is told in history and in our history books, a lot of people fought in the war to keep slavery and inequality. I know the main purpose was to fight for freedom from the north and have no one tell us what to do, but what about freedom of the slaves? All lives matter right? In our history books and history itself, it says that the North didn’t want slavery, but the south wanted to keep it, thus causing the war and making people in the war fight to keep slavery which is basically inequality. That’s not the right thing to do. Get butt hurt all you anybody to, but it’s the truth y’all. That’s why the MS flag is being changed, and from what i think is the reason why apple hadn’t put a confederate flag emoji. But we have to remember this, that’s the basic history behind the flag. And this is all said from someone that lives in the Deep South and whose family like that confederate flag, aka me.
