Unlike many others, I don't see the Confederate flag as a symbol of hatred/racism/white supremacy. It stands as a symbol of part of our nation's past and as a reminder of the brave men who fought proudly and honorably for their country, families, homes and way of life. Their blood was shed, their lives mattered. And for that, if for no other reason, is why is shouldn't be banned. It should remain, and be included, as a symbol of remembrance.
