As 40 year resident of the HHN, I can tell you a lot of effort went into stopping the business enchroachment on our main neighborhood thoroughfare. I would hate to see us lose what many of us worked so hard to achieve. We should not be having to fight this battle all over again

I live at 701 Southern Ave in historic downtown and absolutely do NOT want rezoning that would allow businesses in our neighborhood!

I absolutely oppose the rezoning of this site. It should be cleared as it is a blight on the neighborhood. I live at 511 Bay St. and bought the house 4 years ago because Bay St. was zoned R1A. The rezoning will destroy my property value and reduce the historic value of the street.

I have lived at 503 Bay Street for 29 years now.

I support the Hattiesburg Historic Neighborhood Association in opposing the rezoning of 314 Bay St. from R1A to B2 zoning and I ask that the City Council deny the rezoning request and allow 314 Bay St. to remain zoned R1A. What I don’t understand is why this city makes us address this issue continually after ruling this property residential.
