To: Mr.Asif Ali Zardari TheIslamic Republic Islamabad, Pakistan Sir! I am deeply disturbed by the news of Political arrest and imprisonment of University lecturer Hassan Janan Badini, who was abducted by the Military Intelligence on August 25, 2008 in Quetta. For job purpose he was away from his home (Noshki, Balochistan). He is very much kind, honest and a dedicated teacher. News indicates that Hassan Janan Badini has now being shifted to a military torture camp and is being forced to confess crimes he never committed. I consider this kind of detention and issued death sentences for many political prisoners in direct violation of human rights and demand that: 1. The ill-treatment of Hassan Janan Badini and death sentence for other political prisoners be immediately suspended; 2. Open and fair trial be held for him and others in which their right to counsel is guaranteed; 3. A team of impartial jurists and journalists be allowed to travel to Balochistan in order to observe these trials; 4. A team of doctors be permitted to visit the prisoners, examine their physical and psychological health, and determined their fitness for standing trial. The stories shared in the comments regarding the disappearance of Hassan Janan Badini reveal a profound unease that resonates across many communities. I am currently working to bridge these individual accounts into a formal record for those in power to review. Your persistence in keeping this matter in the light serves as a vital reminder that these lives are not forgotten.

The growing momentum behind this request reflects a shared commitment to justice for Hassan Janan Badini. It is heartening to see so many people acknowledge the urgency of this situation and choose to look toward Balochistan with concern.

Human rights abuses are getting out of control in the region. Need to shed more light on what is happening to these people.

My heart breaks for his family. Nobody deserves to be locked up without a fair trial. Free him.

How can they just snatch a man away like this? Praying for his safety and that he gets to see his family again soon.

This is completely unjust. He is a teacher not a criminal. Release him now.
