Done I hate thieves

6600 vehicles stolen in NM during 2016, that's an average of 18 vehicles a day. Something has to be done.

More bait cars and longer sentences.

This is just ridiculous!! These vehicles, that people work so hard for, are being stolen every day. I'm worried about my truck. I look out several times a day to see if it is still there. I lock up the stewing wheel with a master lock every time I get out, but I still don't think that's enough.

I am the victim of auto theft and too would like to see harsher punishment. Please help us. Number one in auto theft in the US is not something to be proud of.

The amount of vehical theft is insane! Something really needs to change.

Something has to be done about the rediculous number of auto thefts in Albuquerque. Stiffer penalties, work programs, something. Put the offenders to work along the highways pulling weeds in July, or something.

My car was stolen on 10/29/2016 after living in Albuquerque for only 3 months. It was recovered, totaled by methamphetamines, and severely damaged. This is an epidemic.

To many vehicles are being stolen and no one is doing anything to help find them and if they are found.... seems the case is dropped and no one is ever prosecuted. Many of us are one car families. No one can get to work without a vehicle. And insurance won't payout until the car is either found totaled or after a certain amount of time the car has been missing. It's ridiculous. Hopefully this petition will show that the average citizens of New Mexico are fed up!!

We need more severe consequences for auto theft. We are number 1 in the nation and it is sad. I love Albuquerque and want a safe city again.

Do something about this problem!! Where are all the bait cars!? Auto theft unit?! The reason they continue to do this is because they can! They know the people can't stop them, and police are too busy and don't have time to make these call sorority. We need a whole new separate crews /units handling this problem 24/7pleaee what can be done??!

My Daughters boyfriend had his motorcycle stolen(never found) & then her roommate's car was stolen on the same property. These theieves need to be locked up

Susanna Martinez and Mayor Berry , the people have lost confidence in your ability to lead are state and are city , as you have both sat on your hands and refuse to see the reality of increasing violence that has infected the state and city of Albuquerque NM ... I truly hope the both of you will never be voted in to hold any type of public office again ....

I am sick and tired of car theft and car trashing for parts and people who do this getting away with it. Also, visitors to Albuquerque are ripped off in the same way only worse with trailers and vehicles being stolen.

I had my vehicle stolen on Thanksgiving Day. It was recovered with all my tools gone. I've been on edge ever since. Thinking it will be stolen again.
