We need harsher punishments for people who commit crimes! New Mexico is falling apart.

The judges are too lenient on criminals that are caught committing crimes. There is a pattern of dismissed charges and no consequences for these individuals.. There are countless repeat offenders and their crimes are escalating in violence and frequency. The victims are hard working people that actually pay taxes and the salaries of these judges that are letting this happen to us! We have our cars stolen, our homes burglarized, our mail and packages stolen as we make sacrifices to be away from our families and loved ones that may need us just to earn a living. The economic development of Albuquerque is at stake. How do we expect corporations to relocate to a city with very high crime rates and even worse ratings for education - 49th in the nation. Our law makers, judges and city leaders are not doing enough to protect the citizens from the criminals!

I've had 2 cars stolen and destroyed in the past, and my vehicle broken into 3 times! Come on New Mexico! Make them pay, because we as victims sure end up having to!

I've had friends loosing their cars. We need to stop crime now! Setup cameras so hopefully they can all get caught.

Fix this problem. Cars throughout our neighborhood have been stolen. An individual was attempting to break into cars at my place of work only yesterday. People do not feel safe. I will not vote for lawmakers or judges who promote light punishment for criminals.

The car theft in this city is way out of hand. I see multiple vehicles posted online daily. APD/Bernalillo County is catching the thieves only to be released before the ink is dry on the paperwork. Something has GOT to be done.

NM ranked 50th in 2016 as the worst state for drivers. Stealing cars raises premiums for all. And it's part of othr criminal activities.

More police to patrol would be helpful. As you all know, the ABQ Police force is short hundreds of officers.

It is beyond ridiculous the amount of auto thefts in this town and the justice system is a joke, punishment is not harsh enough

Our truck was stolen as well. Luckily, we got it back the next day. We found a tool, a stolen credit card, drug paraphernalia, and a stolen checkbook. It took over an hourof waiting at the police department to turn these items in. They took the credit card and checkbook but refused to do anything about the other items.

This city is an embarrassment. I originally lived in crime infested San Bernardino, California and now Albuquerque makes my previous home look safe. Truly sad.

We need to hold these thieves responsible and not let them out.. Sad to say they will never change nor pay for the damage they cause those who work hard..
