Harsher Punishments and More Investigations for Auto Theft in Albuquerque, NM

Albuquerque is being overwhelmed with crime, my family has had 2 cars stolen in one month, please actually help put these people in Jail and stop this, it is out of control.

Please keep these people in prison where they belong. Judges and law makers please do your jobs! You were voted in and can be voted out. God put you in your spot and he can remove you from it too. Law enforcement is doing the best they can to keep up with the revolving door, but it's like a losing battle. God bless to all and I hope the online petition works.

I have had 2 separate vehicles stolen from our home in less than a year. They were both recovered, but both destroyed.

My boyfriends truck was stolen 2 days after his uncles. It's out of hand.

Auto theft is leading to harsher crimes. They need a mandatory jail time of 10 years. No good behavior. I would willingly pay higher taxes to build more prisons if need be.

I have had 2 cars stolen. The first in 2001 was stolen by repeat offenders. They were let out on bail & never seen again.

It is time to make longer harsher penalties as well as restitution payed to all victim's!!

The people stealing vehicles should not just be let out of jail so thry can steal again. Punish these people. That is why insurance is so high here in NM.

Harsher scentence all repeat offenders. No more jail turn arounds. We all work hard pay taxes and no one gives a crap until it happens to the Mayor, Police Chief, or city council then they care.

So tired of worrying about my car everywhere. It took me 59 years to get a new car and I worry constantly. Get a job deadbeat theives!

Come on law makers. Why are we letting a few repeat offenders victimize so many people? Please make our laws harsher for these criminals and get them off our streets.

There is a group of homeless that keeps bringing stolen vehicles to a vacant lot next to my work place. We call APD with plate numbers and they confirm they are stolen. The problem is even if they manage to catch them they are out of jail almost immediately and within days we see them in another stolen vehicle. The law-abiding citizens of Albuquerque deserve better!

I agree my truck has been targeted several times. Had to buy anti theft device but thiefs continue to try to steal causing damage to property. No consequences for criminal actions. Makes people not want to stay living here in albuquerque.

Keep these thieves in jail once and for all!

Something need to be done. Our truck was stolen a month ago and never recovered.

New Mexico has gone down down for years. I was born here and really think laws need changing and judges need to through the max at all crimes.
