my grandson is a skateboarder and will be thrilled if
Harrisburg gets the skate park. we take him to Paducah now and guess where we eat and spend money then. please make it happen.

living there myself and watching my grandchildren grow up in Harrisburg, this would be good for our youth. they have no place to ride their stakeboards. why not use the park !! you have the tot lot and nothing else . lets be real !! put that park to use !

Growing up in Harrisburg myself, there were very limited things for children to do. It would be nice to show that Harrisburg cared about the youth.

My son, is 13 and loves to skate. In this small town there is next to nothing to keep these kids off the streets riding their boards. These kids need a place to hang out and to be kids.

Lets show these kids we care and agree they need a safe place to practice thier sport and maybe give youth something productive to do. Great idea. I would volunteer time and money if needed

This isn't the first time a skatepark has been fought for in Harrisburg. My friends and I began this exact process, in the late 90s mind you, and the city simply acted as though it was merely the silly dream of children. Hopefully these dreams can be fulfilled, safely assuming there were others before us to try, 30 some odd years after the vision first flickered into life and we won't have to be left wondering anymore, "Where do the children play?" I hope we finally get the answer we've deserved for so long.
