The kids in Harrisburg have been wanting a skate park for years. We have to drive our grandson to Marion, Carterville, and sometimes to Paducah. A Skate Park would be a great asset for Harrisburg

i have been a skateboarder for 30 years. I have traveled throughout the country visiting skate parks. I have made lifelong friends and lifelong memories through skateboarding. If so many small towns across the country have built parks for the young people, I think it's time our community stepped up to do the same.

The movie theater & Z Factor were great things for youth in Harrisburg...but they can't all afford to do that every day! Skateboarding is a healthy way for kids to spend their time & it would help keep kids out of trouble if Harrisburg had a skatepark.

It would be great to have a safe place to skate for our youth. It may even bring some business to the area if skate competition take place ect.

If you build a nice concrete Park, people will come from all over the tri-state just to ride it. And they will spend money in your town.

We need this. Our kids need a variety of things to do. They don't all like the same things, and a skateboarding park is great. The one in Paducah is great.

We pushed for this back when I skated 9-10 years ago but it never went anywhere. Hopefully it does now with all the kids skating now a days!

Something like a skate park is needed for the children, there is nothing here for them as far as outdoor activities. People wonder why communities go south. The people cannot be bombarded with force, it generally brings hate and anger in the long run!
