I grew up in Harrisburg. I graduated in 1989. My younger brother and his friends were skateboarders. They were not a gang or a menace. They were a group of young teenage boys that loved their skateboards. Hobbies are a wonderful outlet for young people to have. Harrisburg needs this!

Kids are often skating in the street, which is dangerous, especially at night. If the city can have half a dozen gambling joints, they could at least invest in the safety and interest of the youth. People from around would also come to use it and bring more revenue to Harrisburg. This is a good idea for everyone.

I think this would be awesome!!! My son loves skating boarding and begs for me to take him to a skate park! It would be nice to have some things for our kids to do!
