Kids need more things to do. Instead of telling them to leave ,cussing, and down grading kids for trying to find something to do stand up be an adult and help these kids. A skate park would be a great thing for our youth.

I think this would be great. I have driven to Marion, Herrin, and Carterville multiple times just to take my son and nephews to ride skateboards and bikes.

I believe that a skate park would be very beneficial to the town. People interested in this sport travel to other towns that have skate parks...travel brings revenue, and that's what helps the town thrive and grow. Insurance waivers can be signed and helmets can be enforced.

A skate park would benefit children and adults as its an outdoor activity free of charge. A lot of people cannot afford to put children in recreational sports. This would allow a space for children to exert their energy after school and maintian healthy life choices by staying active. It can also allow for socialization outside of school or work settings.

I actually live in the middle of the park. At times, there are 20 people playing basketball at a time. There are also people who play roller hockey on the basketball court. It is really hard to do both at the same time. A skate park would be a great idea.

A skate park in Harrisburg has been desired by many for a long time. It is well known that the city of Harrisburg does not have many activities and entertainment for people, especially young people. People have to travel to nearby cities for many of these opportunities. Why not bring (and keep) business here? This park would give people a safe place to be and be a great source of exercise.
