The kids really do need this skateboarding is very popular and I see them all over town. It would be a much safer option than skating in the road or on private property of local businesses.

This is a great idea! Skating was my favorite when I was growing up in Santa Cruz California! I know this will be enjoyed by many!!

I beleive this is a great thing for the kids that don't like other sports... Remember sports are all different....Not all kids like football,etc...

I think this is awesome..they Def need more stuff for young teenagers to do and believe in , in this small community..I have known Chris Dunn since he was around 7. .he use to be best friends with my son..it would great to see him and his friends accomplish this

I think it'd be great maybe if we started putting more stuff like this out we'd start seen less kids in trouble

Do this for the kiddos!! They need something like this other than trying to do it in places that is frowned upon.

Sad that other park districts, including Herrin, see the benefits of having these types of facilities. Harrisburg, not so so much.

Harrisburg needs recreational facilities for the young people and teenagers; it would help prevent crime and help the youth have an outlet for their energy.

This would be a great place for the kids. My 10 year old son loves to skate and we take him all over southern il to the different skate parks. It would be great to be able to take him local to skate

The sport is becoming popular with our youth. Make an area to where they will enjoy and we will see more of them out playing instead of playing video games and watching television. This will help get that hour of day play that you see televised.

Skatepark would be help keep the kids off the streets at night they are hard to see after dark.
