This is only going to help those in high income brackets, not low or middle class families trying to support children. I cannot believe our government is even considering the idea. Especially with global aging, and an economy that will soon have to support many retired individuals. Our government should be encouraging young couples to have children, not discouraging them, so that Canada (in years to come) will have enough working-age people to support the dependency ratio.

I work with many families who rely on their child tax credit. The child tax credit is something that I absolutely support.

Use common sense. Just because it won't effect your family directly doesn't mean it won't be substantial to other Canadian families. Shame shame shame

Eliminating this would drastically effect our income. I will NOT be voting Harper if this is the case.

I don't have small children anymore, but I do have grandchildren, and I know this money helps their household immensely.

I am a single mother with 2 children and no financial support from their father..I depend on this. I work but still can't make ends meet. This would be devastating to my family. Please do not eliminate the CTC.
