Results of the 2008 air quality test shows that the air quality in the surrounding communities of ASL is in fact harmful given that the result was indeterminable. Also, the fact that this test was conducted while the intake of refuse at ASL was at a minimal amount, it cannot be considered a true indicator of the air quality surrounding ASL and therefore is a key factor, among many other health issues, in our request to deny the expansion.
Among the testimony given at Riverside High School on January 13, 2010, in favor of ASL expansion, the main factor in all of the arguments was financial gain. At the urging of the undersigned, Old Forge Borough Council refused the most recent financial proposal from ASL, putting the health of its residents ahead of any monetary gain.
Therefore, we request that you review all of the hard data and facts, and deny the application for expansion by Alliance Sanitary Landfill.

Seriously? The air is already gross. Why make it worse for everyone in this neighborhood.
Greed over people again. They dont care about our health at all.
They promised us this wouldnt happen years ago. Liars.
My kids have asthma and this air quality is not helping. STOP THE EXPANSION.
Absolutely ridiculous. Nobody wants to live next to a bigger dump. Keep it the size it is now.

The smell is already unbearable in the summer. We dont need more trash piled up here.
