Harmony House is a local women’s shelter in Ottawa, Ontario.
Harmony House provides transitional housing for women and children who are
escaping violence at home. It was founded in 1987 and strives to provide
support, distribute food from the food bank, equip single women and their
children with affordable housing and offer sustainable assistance and care for
those in need. Their current location is completely accessible and open to the
public ensuring that everyone who needs help will be able to access it.
To support Harmony House, please sign this petition stating
that Harmony House should receive more government funding, as it is currently
running primarily on donations from the public.
By receiving more funding, they could dedicate more funds to their outreach programs, for causes like the food bank, low-income housing and family counselling. This way, they could serve more people in the community and have a larger impact!
Harmony house helped my cousin when she had nowhere else to go. they do such important work for ottawa and relying on donations isnt enough to keep the doors open for everyone.
