I live on the street and do not want the commotion, noise, and other unsavory business that can occur, owned my home here since 2006. Resident of Burgs Park Dr.

Our airport, with its proximity to a quiet neighborhood with narrow roads and one of Wisconsin’s most pristine lakes is no place for an event center or fueling station like this.

Our road is already busy enough, we don't need more traffic!! There are walkers and people riding bike on our road all the time. Not safe for them with extra traffic.

I agree with most comments. The location is not appropriate. Shell Lake residents and surrounding neighborhoods will get minimal benefit from Hangar 97. I hope the City Council of Shell Lake deny approval for Hanagar 97.

This does not fit the profile of what Shell Lake is about. I agree with the points made in this petition and would ask that the City Council of Shell Lake deny this project.

I am in favor of commercial development in Shell Lake, but not on the lake or immediately adjacent to the lake as proposed. I agree with many comments that the location is not good for that neighborhood.

This is not an area conducive for business and event activity. While I would prefer it doesn’t happen at all, at a minimum it should be on the southwest side where other businesses exist.

Our family has enjoyed Shell Lake for 60+ years. A commercial venture in this tranquil, residential area is terribly misplaced and absurdly detrimental to residents on or near Shell Lake, but especially property owners in Burgs Park who would share the single street dealing with the traffic, safety, and visual and noise overload. With an aviation theme, a hangar, aviation fuel, and "event center" business plan it seems that if this were to be successful, the impact on the neighborhood and the lake would be disastrous. If successful in targeting "fly in" events, the flight path and low plane angle to land on this runway has to affect the wildlife and ecosystem of the South Bay as much negatively as the resident humans. What happens to the eagles and the serenity of Scout Island? What happens to the prolific fish spawning area in the bay? Terrible idea to build this here. Tom Boettcher

The location of this type of facility near a residential neighborhood is not appropriate. Allowed implementation will also lend to further instances of proper residential zoning.

I am in favor of some kind of event center for the benefit of Shell Lake residents and the community, BUT this does not seem to be the location that would be pleasing, safe, or compatible with the nearby residents. Perhaps a different location could be considered.

My wife and I strongly oppose this proposal (or plan) to build an Event Center in our residential neighborhood, near Burgs Park Dr. We want, need, expect (and paid for) a quiet, peaceful neighborhood to enjoy our retirement years. We enjoy having our children and grandchildren visit us here because it is safe, with friendly neighbors. Having a bunch of strangers coming to party, make noise, probably get drunk, and increase traffic would be stressful to us and our family and neighbors. It would also make the area less safe. This event center belongs in a commercial area not a residential and family oriented area.

I am totally against this hanger 97. This does not belong in a residential area.

We purchased our home here in the Burgs Park neighborhood for the quiet, friendly, and relaxing atmosphere. Placing an Event Center at the proposed location will destroy the peacefulness of this currently quiet residential area. There are small children who play in our neighborhood who would be less safe, as well. There are other locations that are better suited to this kind of commercial enterprise.

Thank you for bringing this issue to light..

It’ll lead to unwanted noise and traffic for those who live right next to the airport.

This is a quiet peaceful get away for ask of us who enjoy being at the lake. An event center in this location would destroy this and the reason we come here.
