The airplane parking area at the airport is visible across the street from my family's cabin. Events held in the proposed area could easily disrupt the peace and quiet in the Burgs Park neighborhood.

This is not the appropriate location for an event center. It is much too close to a residential area. The noise and everything else that goes along with event centers (namely alcohol consumption) would be a major problem with the otherwise quiet area.

Placing an event center so close to a residential area is not prudent, very unfair to the residents in regards to noise, traffic and safety. There are many other location more suitable for an event center in Shell Lake!

Not a good fit in a residential neighborhood. There is other access to airport view with less residential impact (like by bus garage in industrial mixed neighborhood).

Who would want an event center in their backyard?!

The developers are obviously ignorant to where they are building. No one benefits from this besides those getting paid behind the scenes. This got announced after the tax bill went out, classic! Why not build this closer 63? Id love to hear the arguments. Wouldn't be surprised if members of the board are going to collect money from this "purchase". Absolutely ridiculous that this was brought up on the community so abruptly.

This is right next to a ditch that drains right into the lake. A polluted the lake will negatively affect everyone and the tourist economy in Shell Lake. It's not clear how Shell Lake businesses will benefit from fly-in events.

There is no need for an event complex in what is clearly a residential area. There are much better options out there than in a residential neighborhood

I do not think you can create such a large facility as is proposed, without having a large negative impact on the residents who live there, and pay substantial taxes.

This seems like a bad idea in such a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. I would think there would be much more suitable locations.

Build by the bus garage or somewhere that is not residential. Too much traffic could become hazardous for local residents. Plus all the potential noise.

This is outrageous! This is a dead end road with the proposed venue at the end of the road meaning the road would become dangerous with traffic and upset a quiet neighborhood. The effects of the building on the lake would compromise the environment and the lake. This is a big NO.

Let's do our best to keep Shell Lake, Shell Lake. Who stands to benefit from such a large structure so close to our pristine lake? Likely, not many of the residents!

There must be a better location, this is a quiet family neighborhood. This would also block residents view of the lake. Also inebriated people driving down Burg’s Park would endanger the many walkers/pets

• This is an Event Center disguised as an Aircraft maintenance & repair facility
• This is a mis-use of FAA, Federal, State, county and municipal tax funded infrastructure, for the benefit of a private business.
• The activity, noise and commotion typically associated with Event Centers is not compatible with the residential neighborhood that surrounds the proposed site.

Clearly this would interfere with the use and enjoyment of our property!
