Being unable to drive and finding long bus journeys uncomfortable, easy access to a local hospital is of enormous benefit to me for appointments with specialists, physio etc. With more housing and more people coming into the town our own hospital is even more essential and can be an important aid to break bed blocking.

This hospital should remain open. I dislocated and broke a finger and popped to the hospital. It was sorted in the than half an hour. Treliske would of been 4 plus hours.

The idea of shutting Newquay hospital is determential to the people who live in Newquay and the surrounding area.
The nearest hospital is RCHT where they are over crowded and are continually announcing to keep away from A&E department. They are struggling to cope with the current demands!

In my opinion closing Newquay Hospital would be a backward step and put even more strain on Treliske. How can this be of benefit to anybody? Newquay is a large town, and getting larger, and is extremely busy in the summer. It is inconceivable that it would not have hospital facilities.

I, like many other have used this hospital on numerous occasions, they are a very professional team and certainly needed by many. In additions to tourism, it would be senseless and crazy to even consider closing this hospital.

This hospital means so much to everyone in Newquay. Especially to my family having two children and on child with autism who needs to see the paediatrcian, regularly and both myself for physiotherapy and the Opthamologist for my other child. We don't own a car. This hospital is essential to our family and for the A E when we have needed it for minor injuries. We don't have anyone in our family who can drive, it costs around £30 per trip to get to Treliske hospital. Without this hospital many others will be in the same position. Also it's placing an extra strain on Treliske departments and others using the ambulance service rather than having a local hospital.
Newquay is a busy tourist town in the summer such as the board masters, the A and E minor clinic, X-ray department emergency dentist and GU clinics are also essential for not only local but tourists too.
What about all the local staff are they also going to loose their jobs? If Newquay hospital closes? I pray it doesn't. I hope others feel the same way I do and sign this petition.

After being lucky enough to use this hospital when my daughter broke her arm & knowing the strain treliske is under its essential to keep it open.

Newquay hospial must remain at all costs. If additional services can be provided there to prevent the need for residents to travel to Treliske, so much the better. We MUST retain the A&E unit. In summer the population quadruples!

Newquay town and surrounding areas are growing so fast. We need this hospital or will you build a bigger and better one for us. Treliske would not be able to cope with demand as its always on red alert. So why should we put more pressure on Trliske.
