Hands off Newquay Hospital

I believe this is a ridiculous cut, Newquay hospital does extensive work with rehabilitation, especially of the elderly, all when the NHS is under tremendous pressure to get people out of the general hospital and back into their homes. It provides essential care for those unfortunate to have an accident in this large seaside town, and with the general hospital's A&E always backed up, it seems insane to remove this vital service from the town when it is well used by the local population, the hospital being staffed by Doctors from the local health centre who do tremendous work. There is and NHS emergency dentist, X-Ray dept, Physio.. all will be lost. Someone really hasn't thought this through, especially the fact that it has about 20 beds, the patients of which will now be blocking beds in other hospitals now..

An efficient and much needed hospital which must be kept open, particularly in view of the ever increasing local and visitor population.

This is so important, Newquay is a major tourist destination and tourists have a lot of minor accidents. The population is increasing as the town expands and so the need for a local hospital is essential.

This facility is extremely important in Cornwall where traveling to the Treliske site is unrealistic for many patients and would overwhelm that site even further. How about developing Newquay rather than closing it?!

No hospital should be closed until other facilities have been put in place

This is a community asset which is even more essential with the current growth rate envisaged for Newquay and the surrounding area.

We need our local hospital. First provide permanent sustainable care in the community/home facilities are availablebe and operating before contemplating closing newquay hospital.

Leave our hospital alone. This is a vital resource for our community and for those who visit us every year.
