My grandson broke his leg in Newquay and it was 5 minutes to Newquay Hospital for treatment. Truro is 1/2 an hour or more away. With an expanding local population Newquay needs a local hospital.

I praise the Minor Injuries Unit in quickly diagnosing my serious issue, I am unsure what the outcome might have been if this facility had not been available to me. Travelling to Treliske by car can be a serious issue, especially in Summer when both facilities would be most essential. May I say, Newquay is a mecca for end of GCSE celebrations, closing the town facility is highly irresponsible for their safety. Looking ahead, many new homes are being built in and around Newquay which further increases the need for this local facility to remain open.

This hospital is an important part of our community and the service it provides is not only essential for the residents of Newquay and surrounding areas but for the vast majority of holidaymakers that visit the County each year

It is vital to keep Newquay hospital running as Newquay hospital. Its used by local residents, neighbouring residents, visitors and holiday makers to name but a few. There is a great need for Newquay to keep its hospital. Its no good Government playing with facts and figures on bits of paper to work out where they can save a penny. They need to experience the real life of the local hospital and understand how important it is. Leave our hospital alone.

More hospitals like this should be built in Cornwall to take pressure of the main hospital not closed, as per the big wigs don't know there ass from there elbow

There is no way Newquay MUI should be closed. There are more & more houses being built but no more doctors. Also there are 1000's more people here in the summer

It is vital that Newquay Hospital remains open. To consider that the growing population of Newquay could travel to areas such as St Austell or Bodmin for urgent care is unrealistic, unsafe and not acceptable. Current services for both inpatients and outpatients need to be improved upon and be delivered IN NEWQUAY.

I used this hospital many times when my son was a very young as he had chronic asthma. Treliske is already under way too much pressure and its too far to go for many people

This hospital was my god send when I was pregnant. A regular visitor to the area without them I may have lost the chance to know if my unborn baby was ill or not!

I was very grateful for Newquay hospital and it's staff when my family were growing up. It's not so straightforward with young children if you don't have a car. The bus to Truro takes forever. I also had a scare, and my dr took me there to remove a growth and sent off for investigation. Minor injuries treated locally save A&E. Newquay is pretty big in population and that expands during the year. Newquay needs its hospital.
