As a 'tourist' in your state (I live in IL), I can say that the craft breweries & wineries bring me, and many other people in - along with our money. WI gets sales tax from gas, food, hotels, and of course the craft beer or wine. It is only GOOD for your economy if people like me keep coming and spending our money in your state. I will not, however, be coming to visit if I have to go to a bar or a store to purchase the craft spirits. If you shut down the brewery's and winery's ability to sell their product, it doesn't mean we will instead go to the bar or the store... we just won't come to your state at all.

This would be a great detriment to many small businesses! Is that really what you are trying to do? If so SHAME on you!!!

Local wineries and breweries should be able to sell their own craft, on site---they earned it. I don't want the tavern league controlling what I drink and no, I don't want a bud light!

Gee, thanks. We don't do much. We don't ask much. This is one thing we do enjoy doing - visiting local wineries & distilleries. But now you want to put them out of business. You need to remember who you represent. And it's not the lobbiests!

If you aren't about free markets, then you will lose the next election. Do not underestimate the knowledge of the people and the power of social media.
Using that power, wisconsin was flipped from a blue to a red state in the last presidential election. This is a new power that can change things very quickly if you don't follow the will of the people.
Be careful republicans. Be very careful.

This would be devastating to family wineries across the state.

This would not only affect wineries, breweries and distilleries but 2nd and 3rd order effects on tourism would affect restaurants, B&B's , hotels and retail establishments in the surrounding areas.

Craft brewing and the tap rooms have become popular and are gaining market share at a steady clip. Solution? Make a better product? No. Why do that when you can bribe legislators to draft unfair laws that can crush the competition like ants?! Distributors that rely on the volume deals of horse piss are starting to see their profits taper off, so should they adapt to the changing marketplace? Heavens no! Just get a crooked law passed to artificially prop up your crappy business model. Fantastic. I'm excited for more mediocrity, aren't you? :(
