I really thought this might just float around the internet unnoticed but the response has been honestly overwhelming and sort of surreal to watch unfold. It makes me realize how many people actually care about having different choices on their screens even when things feel complicated or noisy.

Are we gonna be forced to watch what is dictated by Dstv? So Multichoice decides what should South Africans watch and not watch? This is disgusting, we can't be controlled by Naspers like this.
I supported free flow of information and different views. I support Ann7 as the voice with different views. I may not like everything media reports but they have an allienable right to report and opine
I cannot believe we even have to do a petition! No one called for a petition on the extremely biased mainstream media, so why must an alternative be banned? Aren't we living in a democracy where wd have the freedom of choice!
The principle of freedom of the media and media diversity must be upheld. No one has the right to arrogate to themself to describe what is biased or unbiased reporting.
Remove ANN7 and you will lose me as customer. I don't watch and have never watched the Afrikaans channels like Kyknet yet I can't call on you to remove, why? Freedom of choice. Let those who don't want to watch ANN7 use their remote controls.

I have cancelled my DSTV. ANN7 the only news channel that televised the meeting that took place in parliament as you guys saw. Thumbs up for them.
