ABS-CBN is doing the country a disservice. It purposely and maliciously manipulates the news and fabricates blatant lies to form public opinion that serves its own purpose. As we hit the homestretch of this presidential election, their bias towards Sen. NoyNoy Aquino has become more blatant and shameless. We protest their self-serving and biased reporting. We protest their biased and unfair programming. We protest the biased points of view of their news reporters and program hosts! It cannot be denied that ABS-CBN’s power is unmatched. They are in a unique position to influence public opinion having a media platform that spans free TV to cable TV… radio to the internet. This power must be used with utmost prudence. For ABS-CBN to use this platform to forward their own agenda and that of their preferred political candidate is the height of irresponsibility. The height of deviousness. The height of being anti-Filipino. For this, we demand that Congress review the franchise awarded to the stockholders of ABS-CBN. In our opinion, they have abused and misused this franchise to the determent of the Filipino people. The network must be made to account for their actions in the election process. To our legislators, hear our cry! No less than 5,000 of your constituents who sign this petition beseech you into action!
