Hammond High Outerwear Policy Petition

My nephew wears one everday, due to cold classrooms.

Perfect idea

I’m glad that people are finally speaking up about this, it feels that every new rule is more to restrict us.

I feel like the outwear is pointless , our jackets shouldn’t have nothing to do with our learning

I had to pay for a new jacket when I had many at home I could wear. The reason for buying the new jacket? I had no solid navy, white, or purple jackets. I mostly have only black and depending on the temperature outside, I could decide if I wanted a thicker or thinner jacket. The new jacket rule is unfair and should go back to normal. It is taking what little freedom we have in school to express ourselves away from us. This is a public school, not private or prison. If I wanted to be restricted in my freedoms, I would go to a strict, private, catholic school or North Korea.

this is not fair ppl have already brought jackets for school we should be able to wear whatever color jacket we like , it’s not hurting anyone .

I'm think that Hammond High is so ridiculous for not us wear no others kind of jacket to school but they need to keep the old rule that we had last year they be trying to try something new about this jacket that we got to wear but the best way I would do is wear my jacket I had and they know some of these kids can't afforable a jacket they want us to buy a swear tee shirt that got they symbol on there and these high hoodie that Is to high for these kids parent to afforablethey been doing to much over this dress code they came up this school year the senior can't wear the senior jacket that they got made or if we buy them for the jostens people

Jackets has nothing to do with our education some people can afford new jackets

There so focused on dress code and the rules they forgot the reason we’re there which is to learn it’s more of a distraction to call people out of class for dress code vialations than the vialation itself and facial hair shouldn’t be that big of a deal it’s not stopping me from learning or others

We come to school to learn and a jacket color doesn’t change that

i think kids should be able to wear whatever jacket they want ! bad enough they have to wear uniforms

They are worrying about the wrong thing when they should be worrying about how to change our school from a D to a C school
