It is clear that this project is riddled with uncertainties. As a result it should not move forward at this time. I am opposed to starting the amphitheater project.

This is typical Washington fashion when it comes to community politics. They have not done their due diligence for this type of project. A recent article spoke in reference to the Decatur’s amphitheater. Decatur has a population of 68,000 residents. Washington has a population of 16,000 residents. This should be a project determined by the residents of Washington, not a few self seeking city council members.

We do not need this in Washington. We have a nice quiet town that does not need the potential wrong crowd or distubance. Not to mention taxpayers money need to go towards needs not wants. This is not a smart decision! Be a "good neighbor" and THINK before you DO

This is something that we do not need that's going to cost a fortune and then be closed. There are other things in our town that need to be done besides an amphitheater.

This is the biggest waste of our beautiful land. There is no need for this. No one is going to spend big money to come here when the Peoria Civic Center, Peoria Riverfront, and Bloomington venues are already capable of handling this type of business. It's also too much strain on our police officers and the last thing the Washington Community wants is to feel like we live in a city environment.

I am in total agreement with this petition.
Furthermore, I do not think this is a wise use of taxpayer money at this time. This should be a project determined by the residents of Washington, not a few self seeking city council members.

The points that Casey Doremus makes cast suspicion on the accuracy of the feasibility study. A project of this size and potential impact on the lives and pocketbooks of the citizens should not proceed without an accurate study and majority support of the citizens.

Why is there nothing for the kids to do in Washington? This may very well be a factor in moving out of Washington if this goes through. Tired of paying high taxes with nothing to show for it. The community doesn't want this.

Full transparency is needed for any support from the community. If you aren’t comfortable sharing all of the information, you shouldn’t be considering the project.
This will be a money pit
Put a stop to this abomination!
