I believe the construction must be stopped to allow the proper protocols to take place. The best outcome would be a complete reversal/clean-up and the neighborhood is returned to its former peaceful environment. Barring that, at least follow laws and protections currently in place. I remember battling the Skyhawk Subdivision and other development efforts back in the 80s and early 90s. A friend and I went to City Council and spoke against that, we being just teenagers at the time. That worked and public pressure needs to stop this over-development in its tracks. (no pun intended) These are protected lands and the fact that no EIRs have been done on this development, is just bad planning. I live in Vallejo now, but still am concerned about this. Let me know what I need to do!

This is a beautiful expanse of land that cannot be bulldozed without justified evaluation in accordance with CEQA. It should be known that this land holds is held with great importance in the hearts of those who have lived in the area. It's ecological and aesthetic features are valauble and irreplaceable.

This is outrageous! When are we going to get a clue about saving open space, protecting our lands and eco-systems? What an incredibly arrogant move - tearing up native oaks for up-scale luxury homes in the midst of a drought no less! Deeply upsetting! Building of huge and expensive housing during this drought and in apparent violation of the Williamson Act must stop now. We need affordable housing and we need preservation of our open-spaces that protect our native species for now and for future generations.

How can this happen? Our representatives are to protect our human needs; and our environment is paramount in giving our families much needed escape from the tragedies that are enveloping our world....let us not destroy the beauty of our majestic "Oaks' that give us tranquility that feeds our souls. To find out that the proper avenues were not taken is so devastating and we should take all appropriate measures to stop this asap.

Sonoma county needs to be preserved. Stop cutting corners before it is too late.

35 needless high end housing being built during drought...

This is such a bad idea on so many levels. I do not live anywhere near the site so am not a NIMBY, but common sense aside in the fourth year of a drought, the county is violating the law and must be stopped.

We are in a drought, plain & simple. No amount of money, expanding or disputes can buy water that does not exsist.

Growing up in Sonoma Valley was a gift, and part of what made it so special to me was always being surrounded by beautiful, natural landscape. I disprove of continued building on this treasured natural land, especially when it is done without environmental review, legal documentation, and discussion with the local community. I urge the Sonoma County officials to put an end to this irresponsible, self serving construction.
