I assumed we in Nova Scotia were free of floride, but since discovering that we are not, I purchased a distiller to filter floride out of MY WATER. Since then my nails are not brittle for one thing. What else could I not detect that this poison affected? Please stop adding floride to Halifax water supply. Do your research.
I have visible dental fluorosis after having grown up in Dartmouth in the '80s. I avoid fluoride in all of my consumer purchases but cannot afford, nor to I think it a sustainable choice, to buy bottled water everyday. I do not support the fluoridation of the municipal water supply.
I have thyroid issues, skin rashes and arthritis, possibly due to fluoride being put in drinking water for no health reasons other than for dental.
Please remove flouride from Halifax water. It is toxic and ingesting it is harmful. Use flouride toothpaste if you wish but get it out of the water!

Not only a mass medication but some people are sensitive or allergic to fluoride. Up to 1% of the population. Thats a lot of people forced into consuming something they can't tolerate. Restaurants, coffee shops, cooking - its impossible to eliminate fluoridated water from one's diet unless you have bottled water at home and never venture out of the house.

It is time for you to implement SAFE ALTERNATIVES to this deadly poison... Wake up!
There is no reason you can give that gives you the right to decide the care i need for my teeth. I don't believe that is why you really add flouride the water. If you really want to improve dental health and save the government and medical care money, make cigarettes illegal. If i get to decide whether or not to smoke, I should also get to decide whether or not to use flouride.

Just watched the East Brunswick debate from the Canadians Opposed to Fluoridation site...I am convinced it is not a good idea. The For side's argument boils down to : It is needed because people don't brush their teeth properly, and the ADA/AMA can't be wrong about such a longstanding practice

I have been concerned about fluoridation for over 30 years and have written often to the Halifax council. I would really like to get more involved.
Beyond all the health concerns of consuming this toxin, the fact that it is added without consent is a human rights violation in my eyes. The bottom line is that if I were to choose to ingest this toxin I would purchase a supplement. I have no choice when drinking my local tap water. This is truely disgraceful given the research available.
My whole family has a thyroid Problem , we believe Floride is a contributing factor! Stop putting this in our water please!!!!

I prefer clean clear water... no additives... fluoride among other things added to our water is not needed...
I tried stopping this myself years ago and was laughed at .its about time.
medication without proper care in dosage is irresponsible and dangerous. There are alternatives for cavity prevention that do not require forced ingestion of fluoride.
Fluoride in small doses in toothpaste is acceptable to help teeth , no to fluoride in all the water is abusive and not necessary and is being flushed down the drains into the water streams and bays. REMOVE it , NOW!!!

It is absolutely unethical that fluoride is added to our water. I care about my brain and body and it disgusts me that some ignorant person has made the decision for us that we have to drink poison on a daily basis or spend money on an expensive water filter that filters fluoride. We deserve to have a choice, we deserve safe water.
Fluoride intake should be a choice, not in our drinking water!
Stop fluoridation as it is toxin to the body, my daughter has crohn's and once she stopped drinking fluoride water has seen great improvements in her health! As fluoride destroys all good bacterial in the gut amount all the other negative side effects it causes!

I'm not a a conspiracy theorist, but we're seeing the effects. We are seeing Chemtrails in our skies and it's all the government's doing .They want it that way so big Corporations can make money through health care. WHERE DID CANADA GO????
I'm already dumb enough, take the fluoride out of the Dartmouth drinking water!

We need to re-evaluate this. There are many fluoride-free countries now, and no increase in tooth decay in them. This is something we no longer need to be doing, given the potential for harm.
