I was raised in Hawaii and think this is an amazing hike which, if repspected and treated well (not littering, graffiti, etc.) should be opened to the public. If need be maybe a permit to go on them so travelers could be tracked??? It's not just a tourist attraction. It shows the beauty of our islands, our home, our aloha from the heavens. It's a sight everyone should be able to see.

I'm 21 year old. I plan to do this hike by I am 30. Really not fair making the hike illegal or restricted. It makes no sense in closing what according to me is the "nature's best creation" in the world. Charging a decent amount for the hike is also acceptable. Sincere request not to shut down my dream destiny.

this is one of the safest and most beautiful hikes on Oahu. It's only dangerous if you are a wuss, as unlike other ridge hikes, there are rails to hold on to. Make it legal, make parking legal, then no residents will complain.

Awesome experience. Charge a hiker's fee and limit the amount of people per day - this should cover all maintenance fees as well.
