I object to this increase reason being I am a 68 year old pensioner,I have my wife and children who rely on my support.Looking at the people who stays in the tin houses getting free lights ,free water ,And they living so comfortably by dressing up with fancy clothes even driving their own cars I don't even have a vehicle of my own, cost of living is gone extremely high how can I afford so many things in life with all its increases going on with it has well and still survive,I am a heart patient, diabeticand also have high blood pressure,This Covid-19 has costed me alot of money on top of that for all my medications I have to take everyday to stay alive. The stress of reading this notice saying that there gona be an increase is actually giving me chest pains. We need a R500 DECREASE INSTEAD I WILL EVEN SAY IT IN BOLD EVEN A R1000 DECREASE WILL DO ,Coz u know why we are paying for all the people that are connecting lights illegally, plus government giving free water.Remember what yourll are doing to us is not good in the eyes of Jesus Christ,Jesus never choose his people and divide them,he loved us all equally he forgives everyone for their sins but only if they sin no more,So try treating us fair in all you do,Jesus will even bless yourll abundantly..God bless SA

We cannot afford these high Bill's anymore. Something has to be done about estimating our Bill's.

Cost of living is killing the average person, how do the government expect us to pay more for electricity bills. Lots of people are out of jobs, n we are in a pandemic, for crying out loud.

eThekwini officials are corrupt and are stealing ratepayers money. We cannot and will not support corruption and theft.

Are we getting value for money by paying rates? It seems highly unlikely and we need to employ competent and effecient staff at the municipality that knows the value of money. If some or all needs to be fired, so be it

This is ridiculous for so many people have lost their jobs due to covid. People are struggling to make ends meet.

There should be lowering the rates instead of increasing it due to loss of jobs caused by Covid 19
